PEACE AND LOVE TIL WE MEET AGAIN 1 Gary Francis Carpenter Gary Francis Carpenter, 50, president of the LDS Clearfield Utah North Stake, retumed to his Father-in-Heaven on the morning of October 25, 1994.
He was born May 23, 1944 in Mountain View, Wyoming to Joseph P. and Selma A. Carpen- ter. He married Karin Stringer on February 23, 1967 in the Salt Lake Li LDS Temple. Gary dedicated his life to emulating the example of the Savior and serving his fellowman.
He held numerous church positions includ- councilor in a stake presi- dency, high councilman, and bishop. He served an LDS mission in Sweden from 1963 to 1966. Gary Touched the lives of everyone with whom he associated. he was always helping those in need. Gary quietly went about performing acts of kindness and compassion.
His happiest moments as stake president were visiting in the homes of the people he so dearly loved. Throughout his treatment for lymphoma cancer, he was more concerned for others and their welfare than his own. He loved his wife and family dearly, and deeply cared for the people of the Clearfield Utah North Stake. Gary worked at Hill Air Force Base for 27 years, most recently as a computer He enjoyed his work and loved the people with whom he worked. Surviving are his wife, Karin of Clearfield; three children, Pamela Kaye (Douglas) Carter, Michael Gary (Hope) Carpenter, Darren Joseph Carpenter, all of Clearfield; five grandchildren, Jennalee, Kimberly, Steven, Kylee, and Kaylee.
Also surviving are one sister, Anna Lou Thompson; three brothers, Duane, Derrill, and Donald Carpenter, and his mother-in-law, Joan Stringer, all of Wyoming, He was preceded in death by both of his parents and his father-in-law, Myron Stringer. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 29th, at 11 a.m., at the Clearfield Utah North Stake Center, 151 North 1000 West, with President Ivan D. Anderson conducting. Family and friends may call at the stake center on Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. and before the funeral service from a.m.
Interment, Clinton City Cemetery. Arrangements with Crandall Funeral Home, Evanston, Wyoming. Linda S. Closterman SANDY--Linda Slater Closterman, 45, passed away October 25, 1994. Born July 30, 1949 in Murray, Utah to Al and Mary Lloyd Slater.
Married Charles Closterman in Salt Lake City, Utah on July 14, 1972. Linda was employed by Universal Card, a graduate of Jordan High School and a member of the Christ United Methodist Church. She was raised in Sandy. Linda was a loving mother who had so much to give. She loved her family with all of her heart.
She supported her children in their efforts and wanted them to succeed. Linda's passing is a great loss to her family, friends and neighbors. We love her so very much. She will be greatly missed. We will keep her in our hearts forever.

Collins. He died February 5, 1960. Survived by three sons and one daughter; Patrick Collins, Michael Collins, Robert Collins, Janice Collins; eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Donald R. Conradsen "Connie" Beloved husband, father and grandfather, uncle and friend, passed away October 26, 1994 courageously, in the arms of his loving wife.
He fought so valiantly with Parkinson's for 16 years never complaining, always positive and happy and maintained his wonderful sense of humor to the very end. Cancer finally ended his life here on earth. Born October 30, 1921 in South Jordan, Utah to Carl Christian and Rhoda M. Beckstead Conradsen. Married Maxine Gordon on March 19, 1943 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Graduated from Cyprus High School, Magna, Utah. Served in the Merchant Marines during World War Il and sailed around the world twice. Worked for Kennecott Copper for 45 years and was a member of the United Steel Workers Local He enjoyed working in the yard and around his home. He loved all sports, especially golf and river running. But most of all he loved his family to whom he was totally devoted.
His special wit and wonderful sense of humor will sorely be missed. He was humble, loving and kind. He was a gentleman. Active member of the LDS Church having served in many positions High Priest leadership, Elders Quorum presidency, MIA presidency, ward and stake clerk and stake mission. Survived by his wife of 51 years, Maxine, the light of his life; two daughters, Valerie Mitsunaga, Glendora, California, Vickie Schmitt (Douglas) Lake Ariel, Pennsylvania; two sons, Brent Las Vegas, Nevada, Chad C.

His early years were spent in Ely, Nevada; Later moving with his farnily to Salt Lake where he attended West High, LDS Business School and the University of Utah. Most of his working, career was in automobile sales with Grant E. Hayes and Hinckley Dodge. He loved to travel in the West especially where he grew up. He devoted his time to his home and yard, enjoying his association with neighbors.

He married Thelma Okeriund, May 14, 1924 in Provo, Utah. Marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple. She died Oct. 2, 1992. He had helped homestead the Jeffery Ranch.
After selling the ranch in 1945, he worked for L.A. Young Construction Company until his retirement. He is survived by one son and two daughters, Mrs. Dee (Lois Thalman) Allred, Sigurd; Mrs. Norman (LaRee) Huntsman, Orem; Gam and his wife, Colleen Jeffery, Fremont; 13 grandchildren; 36 great -grandchildren; two greai-great-grandchildren.

Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens. John Rulon Morgan Jan. 2, 1902 Oct. 24, 1994 PROVO John Rulon Morgan, age 92, of Pro- vo, Utah died peacefully ed by his family on Monday, October 24, 1994. He had suffered a stroke and had remained long enough for the blessing of his 61st great-grandchild.
He was a loving and devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather to 81 descendants of his family. He lived by the creed, "When ye are in the service of your fellow beings, ye are only in the service of your God." J. Rulon was an attorney, prominent civic and church worker, patriotic citizen, talented musician and patron of the Arts. He was born January 2, 1902 in Spanish Fork, Utah, a son of John T. and Ellenor Rowe Morgan.
He lost his father in the influenza epidemic of 1918, when he was only 16 years old. He took on the responsibility for the care of both his mother and his deaf brother, Grant, from that time until they both died many years later. He attended Spanish Fork High School: graduated from Brigham Young University, and the University of Utah Law School. He did post graduate work at Stanford University, and received his Juris Doctorate Degree. Rulon married Fern Roberts of Afton, Wyoming, in 1927 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
He earned his way through law school at the University of Utah playing the trumpet in several noted orchestras and dance bands in the "roaring twenties." After graduating from law school, he practiced law in Provo with his uncle, Judge Andrew Morgan. Rulon and Fern became the parents of two children, Jayanne Morgan (Dean) Payne and Dr. Alan Roberts (Jeanene) Morgan, both of Provo. Rulon is survived by his son and daughter, 18 grandchildren and 61 great-grandchildren. His wife, Fem preceded him in death in 1987.
He was cared for at home for the past three yeas by a loving granddaughter, Julie Payne and her husband, Benjamin. Service was the theme of his life: to church, community, his country and his family. He was a devoted member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving as stake mission president for four years; Sunday School president of several wards and other priesthood and service callings. Rulon assisted 14 of his grandchildren in serving missions. He received the Silver Beaver Award from the Boy scouts of America for many years service to that organization.
In 1988 he was awarded the Community Service Award from the City of Provo as one of its outstanding citizens. The Utah State Bar Association honored him for 62 active years service in the legal profession. His life spanned an incredible century form horse and buggy to space travel. Ruion served his country in the National Guard, on many boards and delegations during World War Most notable however, was his service as president of the National Society, of the Sons of the Utah Pioneers, where he was instrumental in promoting the Pioneer Museum of Provo, the commemoration of the Mormon Battalion activities in California, and 23 years service to Sons of Daughters of the Utah Pioneers of Provo. He served as president of many civic organizations including fhe Lions Club, Timpanogos Knife Fork Clue, Central Utah Bar Association and chairman of the Utah County Republican Committee.
He received citations and honors from various presidents of the United States for service to the American Red Cross, Utah State Board of Civil Defense, U.S. Treasury and Selective Service. He served on several cultural arts boards including Provo City Art Board, and made many contributions of beautiful paintings to the Brigham Young University and the Provo and Utah Pioneer Museums. He was devoted to the preservation of our pioneer heritage and assisted his wife, Fern, in writing and publishing two large volumes of family history for her family plus his own autobiography. Funeral services will be Saturday, October 29, 1994, at 10 a.m., to be heid at the Oak Hilis First Ward at 1038 North 1200 East, Provo.

Stacie Joy Wright KAYSVILLE Stacie was a real JOY to all who knew her. She was 18 years old in one sense and 159 days old since her bone marrow transplant. A graduate of Davis High and Kaysville LDS Seminary, 1994. She loved cows, her dog Buffy, music and children especially her nieces and nephews, Kiley, Chelsey, Shad, Trek, Tracy, and Stephanie.
