Got my American Akita puppy from here, it was the best experience ever! They took great care in the raising our puppy before we found him. All the other puppies look clean and have healthy weight too. Prices are high though, you do have the option of taking the finance route and put money down. You will get the information on the breeder and the sire and dame. The Petland associates were friendly and informative. I recommend to get a puppy here and buy your other necessities here too.

We bought our Teddy Bear puppy from here a little over a month ago. Let me start by saying my husband and I had been to the store at least a few times prior to selecting our newest family member. The staff is incredibly helpful and kind. We were always greeted with a hello and helped immensely. Our experience here was amazing. We our delighted to say our little girl is healthy and just a happy little gal. This was also confirmed by our vet here in town. Please ask questions prior to purchasing any animal and visit a the pet store few times. Don’t be afraid to ask for help the staff here are very knowledgeable. They go above and beyond any other pet store I have visited. Thank you Petland 💕

The associates are always very helpful. I asked some questions about the puppies. I cant believe it was $4,000 for the husky with the pretty blue eyes. I learned why they were so pricey from the associate. Just a little rich for me.

So what I saw broke my heart. 3 female employees in a back room with one of the mcaw birds- it looked as if one of the females hit the bird on the tail after it looked like the bird tried to bite her. Another female employee turned around to see if anyone was watching them quickly gave the bird a treat. The three female employees then went behind this partition.With that an animal will bite if they feel threatened.A few of the other animals looked sick. 😭💔

Great selection of reptiles, ferrets, fish, dogs, cats and more. Absolutely in love with their reptiles here!! They also have a large tortoise that roams the store. I guess you could say he is the store’s mascot. Nice booth areas to visit with the dogs and cats before deciding to take one home. Rating 4 stars because of the awesome customer service here. Can’t give that 5th star primarily for personal preference of “don’t shop! Adopt!” My dogs are all rescues!

I would never do business with this company again! I purchased a dog and suddenly had to move, bringing the dog back to the store...manager indicated that everything is fine...Im sure they resold the dog...now this store has put a huge bill on my credit file...so they will get double for the same dog...incredible! DONT EVER BUY FROM HERE!

Usually the fish are more expensive than other places I’ve noticed mainly because I see that they are of a good quality.if you are more into the fish keeping hobby, I would go here instead of petsmart or Petco because they have a wide variety of fresh water and salt water fish that are not mass produced like other pet stores(not saying any names petsmart and petco).They also have many LARGE live plants. But I don’t just go to the fish section there, I also bought my pet Chinese water dragon there.Usually when I buy a pet, I’ll listen to what the staff believe to be the “proper” information and do the research myself when I get home. But when I got back from buying my lizard, while doing more in depth research, I realized that they gave me really good info. I have now had rango “ his name” for about three months now, and he is happy in his 55gallon terrarium with all the crickets,mealworms, etc. in the world. The only reason I put a 4 star is because they 1. Sell puppies... well I don’t need to say anything about that. And 2. When I looked at the fancy bettas, they had large bowls with moss balls, large containers, etc, but when I stumbled upon the veil tails that were in a separate area, I was shocked at how differently they kept them. They were all laying on the bottom of the tiny plastic cups that weren’t even half as decent as the fancy bettas. That really discouraged me. Any ways here are my bettas from petsmart and my Chinese water dragon from petland. Have a fantastic day.

I came here to get a bunny, they were out of stock so I had to come the next day, I got a baby girl before we got her we bought the supplies from Pet smart, the cage is so much bigger and comes with a play pen, I am happy I did that before cause when I went there they restocked the bunnies but didnt restock the cages. I love my baby though!

Staff is horrible. Not basing it off of 1 encounter. Every time we come in to get feeder rats, we wait nearly 30 minutes just to get acknowledged. Once attended to, pure attitude. The manager on duty, wearing a purple shirt made snide comments on us while waiting. She was in store on 11/9 at 4:30 pm. Will continue to drive further downtown next time to avoid this place. Aside from the extremely poor customer service thats a constant here, the puppies are emaciated and look unhealthy. The price on feeders has doubled. Will go back to their supplier for half the cost.

Super clean shop. Workers was CONSTANTLY wiping down the puppy areas even when no soiled areas were visible. All puppies smelled clean, staff diligent about hand sanitizing prior to handling pups, between pups. I did purchase a puppy from here. A little high price but did offer payment plan which had same as cash option. I don’t live anywhere near here, was just passing through. Refused to take off price of different items which are sold with pup as we couldn’t travel with items due to limited trunk space. Not happy with no sort of discount considering I did not take the full package.The staff was very friendly though. Very informed, knew the layout of the store. I would return for repeat purchase.

The workers here are knowledgeable and so very helpful with any questions you may have. They have a decent selection of furry friends and some beautiful fish also.

Great location with very friendly staff. Was able to get a couple feeder mice for a ball python with no problem. It seems that they take care of all their animals and all are happy and healthy (especially the dogs!) they also have a pet tortoise that roams around the location saying hi to people! I highly recommend this location! 🐶🐱🐭🐰🐍

The Fish are handled horribly by the staff. You can clearly tell they are not fed enough given the fact the fish stomach is going inwards. They don’t clean there tanks when fish die because the bodies of other fish are laying in the tank. The way they handle the fish when putting them into a bag is horrendous the workers should know what not do but they don’t.

Place was great. Workers were super nice. But 5,500 for an adoption fee is a little too steep for me.

We just got our sweet boy today from there and to be completely honest the staff was nothing other but accommodating, specifically Nick, we left to think about our decision for an hour or so and once we came back Nick was there and ready to help us through the process, the manager on duty as well was extremely sweet, I can’t be more appreciative

Sold me a puppy with fake akc papers. Their puppies are not Akc, they are AKC pet partners which is mixed breed. BEWARE, I have filed complaint with the federal trade commission and the attorney generals office, and have been added to a class action lawsuit.

Got two guinea pigs about a week apart and almost a month ago. The baby came hime with ringworm and the slightly older one was pregnant which i just realized when she had a stillbirth of all her babies. She’s so sad and I’m so upset. The slightly older one has cut up ears too.

Helpful and many pet items in stocks. Prices are high. Puppies are so cute.

**UPDATE 25 MAR 19**The insurance claim only gave us a out 3/5 of our total costs within the first week of our puppy purchase. Check out your puppies beforehand and ensure that you get this in your contract in writing. Apparently the Petland policies do not warrant such medical bills. I strongly disagree with this as their prices are very high which we thought was because of these inclusive benefits. We will be bringing this to whomever higher to get this resolved. Bringing the review down to 1 star until this gets fixed...*******Not to mention, everytime I post their policies and what they cover for pet medical, they keep taking the pictures down... I will keep posting it until they leave it.********?Beware Dog Purchasers!We purchased our Husky, Shiloh from Petland, Pensacola. We brought him home to find out he had a Urinary Tract Infection as well as Giardia, basically pee and diarrhea every 10 minutes. Petland informed us that everything would be covered for his vet visits as its obviously something we couldnt prevent when hes in the kennel. Many dogs here have the same issues from observation.We take him to the Petland recommended vet Hillman Veterinary Clinic, in short, it takes a total of three visits to get his conditions under control. He has also two genetic defects that the Vet diagnosed as well (Somehow passed Petlands amazing 3 vet screening process and their final checkup). We claim these vet bills (pay out of pocket and submit online) and thats how they get you. $400 later, they say they are only going to reimburse us for $109. I hardly think this is fair after paying $3200 for our puppy. We are still disputing this process of reimbursem*nt and the whole situation but buyers beware when investing with Petland. Yes, their puppies are loving and adorable but also beware of hidden fees that may be incurred after the fact. This post is subject to change as results come back but acts merely as a placeholder. No pet owner should have to go through this.The staff is very friendly and the facilities are decently kept but please be aware of the kennel viruses that many of these dogs suffer. Its to be expected when they buy dogs from breeders across the nation and stick them in one spot together and claim they are screened but then they live around each others fecal matter. At the very least, they should further discount the adoptions due to these health issues or perhaps actually cover the health visits during the initial 14 days or 2 weeks.

As a first time betta fish owner, Im so very glad that I reached out to Petland for help. Cody in the Fish Department was very informative and gave me a lot of guidance on need to knows when it came to bettas. I plan on adding a 10 gallon tank here soon and thanks to Cody I am very confident that I will be the most prepared fish owner. With his guidance I now have a happy healthy betta fish.

They have everything you need and then some. The animals are various and beautiful. Obviously well taken care of. The floor staff knew about their animals and took time to answer my questions. I will be going back to purchase a bird thanks to the employee who nurses them. So kind. I wish I could remember her name. Great place.

Saltwater/fresh water fish a decent reptile selection much better the petco or petsmart and Ill definitely be back to visit this awesome turtle 🐢🐢

High prices, not too knowledgeable younger staff. Remember you will fall in love upon going then your animal (dog/rabbit) will have a lifelong cold or cough. Kennel pets, that are very cute, loveable but priced high. Find a breeder or the pound.

Called to ask a question about whether they had something in stock or not, a dude picked up, put me on hold to check, and left me on hold for 10 minutes. Yes or No would have saved us both time. Extremely unprofessional and disappointing because their hold message went on and on about what great customer service they have.

Should be renamed Puppy Mill Fronts R Us. Such an unethical company. The Puppy for a Lifetime Program paperwork looks official, but lacks transparency. It lists a large number of details about the dog, yet omits the breeder.

This place was amazing. Super friendly and helpful staff. The giant tortoise 🐢walking around the store made my visit here awesome. Very healthy looking pets and very clean facility

We went to just buy our aquatic turtle some more food and ended up going home with a ball python. Hannah helped us out and she was spectacular. Super experience there today. So happy to have a new member of the family.

Lots of animals. I asked where they get the puppies the girl said we know people and breeders... I just looked at my husband! Only time I have been in the store.

Mac is excellent. Great Cory cat she sold me. Also lots of cherry shrimp. Always patient and never rushing us. A+ give her a raise. 😎Good selection of fish. We travel from mobile/saraland.

Sweet pet rats.. on left is a dumbo the ears are set low. On right a Blu fancy I think. Ears up. Rats are clean smart almost dog-like in mind..and no great for a small space. Perfect for travel.. ♡♡

NEVER EVER BUY ANYTHING FROM PETLAND!!!! I looked everywhere for a male hamster and after five months Petland was the only place I found one. The whole store disgust me with their practices but I was desperate for a male hamster I hesitantly bought one and not even a month later my poor little hamster named Nimbus died!! Of course Petland wont refund you if an animal passed away after 24 hours but my vet told me that the reason why my hamster kept having seizures was because of poor genetics which means he was inbred a lot. Petland should be put out of business all of them. All their animals are sick or inbred. I wont put a picture of my hamster dead on here but there is one I put of him sleeping. Petland has no business having anything to do with animals. First time I ever bought an animal here and last time. Im warning everyone do not buy an animal from here most likely it will be sick or in the process of dying dont even buy any food or any animal toys just dont even give them business. This is a horrible horrible place. These animals deserve better treatment but the staff here and the company treat it like its a petting zoo to try to entice people to buy these animals and they tell customers its okay if you handle them because it tames them but this is a lie. It just stresses the animals out by having to be handled all day long and many animals have sustained injuries from the over handling not to mention the multiple animal deaths that have occurred from people dropping animals on the floor too. And the reason why when you go to check out the cashier asks you who helped you is so the store can keep tabs on employee sales. If an employee doesnt get enough sales per week then they get fired. Its like working on commission for them and of course they will do anything they have to for sales even if its providing false information to people about the animals or their current health condition. I wouldnt trust employees or a company that conducts themselves like that.

Been here a couple times to buy fish supplies, staff was nice and very helpful, they have a nice selection of fish, and for the most part all the animals look very happy and well taken care of. Theyre main problem is that hardly any of the pets besides the fish have prices listed next to them, wish usually means they are way more expensive than you are willing to pay for. Their puppies for example, I know their purebred and have all their shots and such taken care of but even taking that into consideration they are WAY overpriced, Im talking $6000 for a dog that can be bought and have its shots taken care of for less than $2000.EDIT - upon further research I do see that the owner seems to take great consideration into what puppies he buys, going so far as to travel several hundred miles to find reputable breeder, so I suppose that can excuse some of the cost. Also the tortoise that walks around the store is pretty cool, as can be seen from half the posted pictures lol

Their selection of fish was once imaculate. Sadly, that is no longer the case. They have signs everywhere that make you feel like the fish you will buy are not healthy. Very concerning. Clean establishment, cute dogs. Just no longer the place for your fish needs.

Nice store. The prices they get for their puppies is way overinflated compared to what reputable breeders ask however!

Great selection of animals except didnt have what I was looking for a ferrat

My kittens love the cat tower I got from petland and the treats.

Recently moved back to town and though everything is well laid out the selection is very minimal compared to what it was 2 years ago.

Overpriced! Went in last week and acquired about a galah co*ckatoo. Was told it was rare and from Australia (there all from Australia and there is nothing rare about it). Its actually the most common co*ckatoo. Was also told it was hand fed. (Most are hand fed). And the price was 12,000. Yes 12,000! I have had birds before and in no way is that bird worth 12000. Maybe someone who knows nothing about birds is dumb enough to pay that ridiculous price. The staff has absolutely no clue !

If I could give them a ZERO I would.I purchased a male Jack Russel and was informed the dog was fully intact. The manager on duty (Hunter is his name I believe) explained the me that the dog should be neutered when the vet states he is ready. He gave me a voucher for a gift card once the dog is neutered and everything.What he didn’t explain is on the Health Record it listed the dog was “neutered inguinal”. However, he did gloss over the health record stating this is “just a list of all his shots” and how it is important to bring that to the vet on his first check up. Even went into a story of how vets try to up-charge clients for shots the dog doesn’t need as this dog is fully vaccinated.The Official State health Certificate makes no mention of the neuter. When I called the manager on duty explained if the dog was in-fact neutered it will state it there. Well it doesn’t.My vet had to find the neuter in the health record and show it to me.So now I am back and forth the the company they say to call for claims if needed. It has been almost two weeks and still no progress in this.I wanted an intact male Jack Russel with papers as I intended in breeding the pup with a friend of mines female.Now I have a $5k dog with no balls and Petland is like Not any Problem.Second dog I have purchased from Petland and it will be the last.

Went to get a dog and found exactly what I wanted but when I asked about her I was told she had been there over 50 days so I thought it would be an easy transaction until I was told she cost $4000 dollars!!!! Thats ridiculous and its no wonder shes been there so long! Poor thing...instead of caring about the animal its just a con to gorge customers and as a result the poor dog has to suffer until some clown pays the exhorbant amount to get her...boycott this place!!

We love going here to pet the doggies and the bunnies. They will always be the most expensive place in town to adopt a dog though. Also, they request that you sanitize in between playing with each dog you want to pet, which is wonderful, but they have zero COVID guidelines in place for their customers. Zero! All of their sanitizer dispensers are empty and they obviously dont practice any social distancing whatsoever. I understand that no one is required to wear a mask anymore, but with a variant out there thats 3 times more contagious and easier to contract, youd think that they wouldnt just be worried about the animals that make them money, but that theyd also be worried about the customers that pay them. We wont be returning here for a while.

Store looked cool till I saw the puppies on wire flooring without a place to relax on solid floor or a bed along with no food or water in the cage. Also definitely do your research before investing thousands on a dog, can help prevent major health issues with some breeds if through a breeder that can supply AKC papers.We went in to get cat food, but I couldn’t buy anything after I saw the puppies like that.

If you decide to buy a puppy from here, you need to read this very carefully. Several days ago, we plan to buy one Puppy from them which Megan (our sales person) told us the price will be $4800 (Yes! It already over priced). We decided to hold until Veterans Day, come back to check to see maybe they will provide some sort of discount. Today on Veterans Day, I went back and I saw big Signs said all puppy $500 off today. Yes! I am excited and check from them, I been told the price is $5000. I was so shocked, and I stood up there couple seconds, she keeps ask me that do I have any questions? Then I ask her, don’ you have $500 off today. She told me that “ no, $5000 is the price.” Well, of course I let her knew I already got price last time which is $4800 and you offer $500 off, then the price is not should be $4300? Well, she silently and walk away. I just totally not agree when they said offer $500 off, but actually not. I think that is scam.

The employees are nice here, helped us today with not only identifying a lizard but also giving us great recommendations for building a habitat for it. Told us a lot about the lizard and were extremely nice, making sure we were doing fine while looking for stuff to put in the habitat.

I love how clean they keep most of the pet cages. Most of the animals look comfortable and have tons of space... The puppies are living in tiny cages forced to sleep on metal bars. This is a disgusting practice. Many other pet stores that still sell puppies use large bins or playpens to keep the puppies in. They could easily covert most of those puppy meeting cubicles into puppy pens. They are never full. Until they make a change for the puppies they have lost mine and my families business.

Wow absolute terrible service here. Stood by one single puppy for over 20 minutes and the employee offered to help everyone standing there but me. Clearly saw me standing there looking around and just went back to play on her phone. Then I asked a manager for help and he said he would get somebody to tell me more about the puppy. Stood there for another 10 minutes and nobody ever came to help. I walked out. Was using them for reptile supplies but I won’t be going back again!

I used to come here to pet dogs often when I was in college. The staff here are friendly and always helpful. I enjoy the range of puppies that they have and I feel there always a different set when I visit. They dont have many options for pet treats; I couldnt find any catnip in the store. They stay busy and U dont think theres ever been a time I went in and it was quiet.

5 years ago I bought my Golden for $3000. Today we come in looking for a puppy and find the sweetest Australian Shepard. We play for a while and decide hed be a good match for our family. Nope. $6500. Which apparently is the going rate for most of their puppies now. Who can afford that? $3000 was already ridiculously steep. Needless to say I cried. I gave this 3 stars because the staff was still very nice, informative, and helpful.

I mainly go here because Im a tropical fish tank enthusiast. I love to stop and see the puppies also. As far as the store the staff are very helpful and strive to help out with my fish tanks needs. Also I buy dog food there for my 3 dogs 🐕.

I had THE BEST costumer service by one of the employees by the name of Mack. This employee surely deserves a raise of some sort. This employee was not only helpful, but also warm, entertaining and very insightful.

Went in for a few fish for the aquarium. The associate n that department was a very pleasant and helpful young lady! I always enjoy a visit to Petland!

Everyone was so pleasant and so helpful. They answered all of my questions. I feel like their prices were most reasonable. I left with the sweetest little Japanese Chin female, absolutely beautiful. I have had her vetted out by my Vet and she is a very healthy and happy little girl. A very pleasant experience.

I love coming to this store to see the animals. They also have just about any thing you need for your pets.

They are letting credit scores dictate the possibility of animals getting a home.

Everyone who works there that weve interacted with is really nice. They have great rewards and coupons and birthday rewards and everything. We have fish and I love their fish food selection (because my fish actually eat the fluval food).

This Petland is by far the best in the area. Great staff and knowledgeable employees. Your customer care experience is always first for every single employee. It’s difficult to find a better chain pet store. This is very competitive to local “mom and pop” type stores. They treat you like family here. Absolutely amazing. #1 in the area.

Ive given up going here for my avian needs. A few years ago I remember liking this place quite a bit; but the few times Ive gone in the past month have been a total bummer. They were out of the items I was looking for 3 times in a row, and the 4th attempt the doors were locked at 1pm on a saturday. I feel its evident that their bread and butter is in puppy sales, and other aninal selections/supplies are unashemedly neglected.

Not like it use to be. Pandemic has got the best of this place. Hopefully they can turn it around

One of the store managers JP is completely rude and unethical. He quoted us a price for a dog and then when I came back two days later to purchase the dog he changed the quote and priced the puppy much higher. I noticed the puppy had an eye infection starting in its left eye and mentioned that and he became rude and arrogant about that. Stating “I’m sure it does” scoffing etc. When I told him I would purchase the dog anyways for the higher price he said to come back the next day and maybe he could change the price if another manager was present. I told him I would just purchase tonight for full price and I told him I couldn’t come back because I just had major surgery and making it here today was really hard and I was in a lot of pain. He stated “you can’t come back for a puppy”? I said I just got around 30 stitches and shouldn’t even be going long distances and said I lived an hour and a half away and he said “well if you made it here today why couldn’t you tomorrow”. I do believe he was on some sort of drugs or pills because he slurred his words and his eyes were a deep red and hanging low. I feel personally insulted and violated by this interaction which was suppose to be a nice experience buying a puppy. I have purchased 5 dogs from petland in my life and I will not purchase another after this experience. Jp then claimed that the pet store was his and we could leave if we didn’t like how he was talking to us. I complained about how rude he was being especially after I explained how I had a serious surgery. He told me “well just get out of my store then” I said I will leave and I don’t appreciate being treated this way and he said “don’t ever come back”. I’m just left in tears after making my way over there in pain after surgery just to make sure I could get this puppy I have wanted. And only to be harassed by Jp who is suppose to be a manager of this store. Jp not only didn’t care about the over $6000 purchase he didn’t care about his customer or employees, not to mention the poor dog when I stated it’s eye looked a little infected or injured he didn’t care to look and just scoffed. I hope petland finds better management.

Should be illegal to charge $10,000 for a dog. A horse doesn’t even cost that much.

This was the best thing i have done in a very long while. the people that helped me with my choice of a puppy were knowledgeable about the puppy i selected and helped me through the whole paperwork regime and even getting to the car with all the goodies they sent home with us. Oh, and did i say those goodies were free? they were. they even educated me on the breed and the fact that she was very small and needed much protein in her diet. i love my pet. she is very smart and loving. the whole experience has been very rewarding. THANK YOU PETLAND???

I will never spend another dollar there. Make sure you read the fine print if you go on a promotion plan. I admit it was my fault, but no one cared to help. Plus their dogs are way over priced. I would avoid this store completely. You can adopt or find puppies that need a home elsewhere.

We purchased a puppy in June and he got sick and died suddenly a few weeks ago. Our vet is of the opinion that his kidneys were never fully developed based on the tests they performed. Our puppy was under warranty and we submitted the info from our vet. We simply asked for a store credit or help w the vets bills as covered by the warranty. The warranty was denied and Petland has refused to make it right or offer us any sort of compensation. My wife is heartbroken and this whole experience is awful. I’m going to contact corporate now in regards to this because no one seems to care at all about honoring the warranty and helping us.Update: Ive changed the rating from 1 star because after contacting corporate, Petland offered to help with the vet bills. We wont be coming back due to the ordeal that this became but at least they honored the warranty. Now well see if they follow through and actually do it. Thank you for giving us some sort of peace.

We got everything we needed for our saltwater tank at Petland in Pensacola. The selection is great, but nothing compares to the service and expertise provided by Chase, our personal fish guru at Petland. Chase has always been upfront, honest, knowledgeable, and kind. His customer service is unmatched and he always points us in the right direction. Our tank is flourishing thanks to Chase! Highly recommend for all of your fish needs.

Its a great store. Birds, rabbits, hamsters, snakes, & lotsa puppies... OH & beautiful variety of fish. We went to purchase frozen jumbo rats for my sons red tailed boas. When we got home & my son got them out... they were mediums at best!!😳 what a disappointment. The staff is SO helpful & allows visiting & touching the babies. So I was surprised at the size sold as jumbos. So well just shop there & order the jumbo rats on line. 🤷‍♂️

This is a very nice pet store. I took my kids to visit the animals and I got some goodies for my cat. You have to visit!

We went there looking for Puppies..Each Cage was so Pack. We were interested on a Bichon FriseWhen I ask one of the Employee about the Puppy, He went and explained to us that the Every Puppies have come with all kind of Perks and Warranty..But when he told us About the price and they makes payments plans,,,,I had to ask twice about the priced...I mean what the HELL?????$6,500 For a Puppy...That is liked 6 times what its usually cost...I dont know what People in the right mind would pay for that priced?I still could not get over it and that was almost a week ago...People should run away from Petland. .

Terrible service, cashier was very rude and the animals were in horrible condition

There have been a number of times that we have gone here to purchase various things and every single time my reasoning for not purchasing is the employees. The customer service is incredibly poor. Theyre rude and inconsiderate. They have no people skills whatsoever. Most recently, we went to look at purchasing a puppy and were a.) forgotten about and b.) treated like absolute trash when we asked for another employee to take the pupper back because of her teething. I understand teething but when she takes a chunk out of my thumb, its a problem that I would rather not deal with. Up your customer service skills or dont work retail.

Its quite a nice place, there are many kinds of animals cute puppies and amazing selection of fish. The tanks are par for the salt water. Then again there for sales not presentation. The staff are baseline friendly and not overtly pressing on assistance. Its clean and well kept. A good holiday visit and local pet supplies.

It has so many different varieties if animals from fish to birds to puppies... the only bad thing about it is that they didnt have the right pellets we were looking for for the fish that we have, but in all I absolutely love this pet store. I take a trip over here every week from Freeport and its definitely worth it!

Probably the best pet store in town to actually see and hold potential pets. They have a good amount of dogs, fish, rabbits and birds. Also a few reptiles. Great place to bring the kids.

Hands down the best pet store in town. They have a place to hold the dogs and I think possibly the cats also. The have a whole huge room dedicated to fish... just fish.. the aquariums and accessories are in the main store. Super cool place with a nice and helpful staff staff thats always ready to answer any questions you have. They also have a grooming room in back with a huge wall of windows so that you can see the awesome groomers at work. This is the place to go for all your pet needs.

Ive had nothing but great experiences in Petland thanks to Chase in the fish department. Ive always wanted to have my own saltwater tank and he has been there since Day 1 to make sure we have everything we need. Thanks to his expert advice our tank is thriving and has been a joy to watch grow and develop. Its obvious that Chase genuinely cares about the customers and is not afraid to give his opinion on an impending fish purchase which has helped us out on numerous occasions. There are many aquarium stores in Pensacola but we will shop at nowhere but Petland as long as Chase is there.

Its overpriced when u buy a pet & they need you to update their shot information. This is a great thing , but if you dont want that then it can be an obligation. Other than this it is a great place for pet lovers& to retrieve supplies.

Love my beautiful puppy Gizmo that we purchased there. They take care of there furry friends very well. Great pups and I found the love of my life there. Worth every penny n more they treat you very well. Thank you for my beautiful baby boy Laso

We absolutely loved our visit to Petland!! They had lots of live animals and a nice large variety of corals and salt water stuff, which was why we went. The staff crooned over our Pommy, Molly and loved her to pieces. We had a great experience.

The stores nice .I only shop in the fish Dept and they have a great selection of salt water fish, although they put the new fish in tanks with other that has ick. But the guys over in salt water are very helpful!! An truly care about the fish. But whatever MGR that are working need to get out an help there employees!!!!!! Really. The tanks look nasty!!!! Sick fish mixed with new ones!!! Its a shame!!! I cant say it enough!!!!

Love going to Petland! All the animals are so happy and well taken care of!! I always enjoy visiting with the little baby budgies and watching them happily play and mill around in their habitat. Also, lots of cuties for sale in the puppy area!! Great place to bring your kids and enjoy the animals. Good prices, too!! Great job Petland of Pensacola!!!

They have puppies, rabbits, ferrets, birds, snakes, lizards, and a giant tortoise that freely roams the store on occasion!! A wonderful staff.Good selection of pet supplies. The only reason they didnt get 5 stars is I feel their prices are really high..

Disappointed in the lack of spiders, the beta fish are still in tiny containers with barely any water, and the dogs look miserable and they still buy unethically. Its hard to support a corporation like petland, especially when they have all of these issues and still sell big baby birds to anyone willing to pay for it. They also sell hatchling baby bearded dragons, which I highly recommend you NOT buy because hatchlings are EXTREMELY fragile and an inexperienced owner has a high probability of making a mistake without knowing and killing their baby. Please do your research before shopping here, and consider shopping at a locally owned pet store and support our local economy. To end on a positive note, the staff are very friendly and even though the animals are in small enclosures, they are well taken care of. You can tell the staff care about the animals and that is the only saving grace that makes me have hope in this place.

Ive lived in Pensacola my whole life. Iva bought 2 hamsters as a little girl from there. They lived a very long and happy life. Pet land use to let everyone pick up animals, bond with them, and feel a connection. Which always made it more meant to be when buying the animal. Now you have to ask a worker to get it FOR YOU. Honestly didn’t even bother asking when i went because that was very disappointing. Even the signs that said “please do not touch” like...dont touch something we are willing to buy..? Anyways not happy with the new pet land. Definitely was not the best place to be as a little girl any more. Also staff at the desk are rude as well. The once that walk around asking for help are veryy nice and friendly! My one star is for those lovely people.

Good selection and variety of products for all types of pets. Fell in love with the animals they had available to purchase. Petland offers financing and warranties. They have a pet salon and spa as well as a veterinarian on staff. The staff was very nice and helpful regarding the animals and available products and accessories. Another nice place in Pensacola for a pet lover/owner to visit

Chase and Alex stopped everything they were doing to help me get our puppys food that was out of stock on their sales floor. It was in stock that hadnt been unpacked yet...wrapped in plastic and on the very bottom of the pallet. They said no problem, this is what were here for! Customer service seems to be disappearing these days but not here. I very much appreciate them and all of the helpful team at Petland. Thanks Guys!!

In the last week I have had multiple experiences with Petland and overall could not be more pleased with how they treat their customers. I personally work in the customer service industry and the way Alan, Alex, Heidi and Matt have been...to say above and beyond doesnt come close to what theyve done for me. They truly care about every person that walks through the door and will stop but nothing to make sure everything is perfect. When you shop here you become part of a family. I appreciate all of them and will continue to go back.

We bought six fish here and within 24 hours 4 died. Exchanged them next day for new ones and those also died within a week. We also got a few snails that are not doing well. Very disappointed.

There is a young Lady that works there, her name is Sam, my wife and I call her Boots. Im sure everyone that works there are great at there jobs, Sam was so helpful and answered every question so we understood ALL about the 9 different types of freshwater fish, tank, filter, food, ect., ect. If you folks ever visit there store, ask for SAM, or BOOTS. You will not regret your time there.

Where they get their puppies from aside (I’ll rant all day on that subject).. this review is strictly about FISH.The fish department (fresh and salt) employees are impossible to get help from. I come to this location all the way from Mobile, AL because their fish selection is always great.. but the customer service no so much. It’s nearly impossible to get someone to help you in the fish department. I stood around for about 45 minutes before I was asked if I needed any help. I’d try to get their attention and instead they’d ask someone next to them while I had been waiting right by their “stations” where they bag the fish.This happens to me EVERY time I go and I hate it. I love the fish selection but trying to get someone to help is like pulling teeth. Petland needs at LEAST three employees in the fish department at all times (on the weekends, at least).And don’t get me wrong, the employees always have a great attitude, but there’s only two of them every time I go and it’s ridiculous. They’re outnumbered by customers.HIRE more people!!!

We love this pet store!Tons of animals to buy from ferrets, fish, birds, and puppies. Tons of pet supplies, good prices. Staff is friendly and they have a giant tortoise that roams the store. You can handle pets while there and they all seems to be very well cared for.

We go here for all of our pet supplies and feeder rats for our boa constrictor. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the store seems very clean. For the things that I go there for, the prices are pretty decent. Its probably just a mark of me being fairly trendy that I find a lot of items here to be expensive.

We visited Petland on Friday and encountered the worst customer service! The workers handling the dogs completely ignored all the customers because the dogs had just eaten and couldn’t be taken out of their cage. These workers were obviously into each other much more than the animals/ customers and were very unprofessional on the sales floor rubbing each other’s necks and batting their eye lashes at each other. I understand this might be a teenager’s first job but they need to be taught have to treat customers and represent a company more professional!

Grossly overcharged, will not price match, bettas in deplorable conditions, they get their cats and dogs from breeding mills, just terrible all in all. Only reason I give 2 stars is because the people that work there are nice, and really do try to be helpful, given the mess that is management. Shame on you for supporting disgusting breeding mills.

Loved visiting this store. I love animals and especially dogs. They had a lot of others as well. Birds, ferrets, hamsters, bunnies. I like the parrots. I think they were ring necks. Beautiful. And the store carries about anything you might need for your pet. Only concern is they are a little high on their prices I think. Bit with their huge stock, its worth it to be able to find what you are looking for.

As soon as I walked in, the odor was overwhelming, resulting in me making it as quick a trip as possible. I originally went in for hermit crab supplies, as well as actual hermit crabs. They apparently no longer have hermit crabs here, so I ended up having to visit the toy store in the mall. How weird is that? While visiting Petland, I saw an employee feeding the gold and blue macaw. The way she did this absolutely lacked compassion. She literally grabbed the birds head, and forced the food down its throat. I must say it was quite disturbing. The employees here stand around and talk, and over all carry an extremely unprofessional demeanor. The visit here overall was quite disappointing. Personally, I felt the atmosphere here as unwelcoming, and negative. A place like this should be full of compassionate human beings, loving, and nurturing the animals. It seems as if it is more so just about getting the paycheck rather than actually making a difference in the animals lives, as well as peoples lives. I must say that is certainly disappointing, and I do hope to see this place improve in the future.

Okay the place is awesome, and has all kinds of pet supplies. And an incredible animal selection. From puppies to parrots and anything in-between. Howeverrrrrrr,, the prices are out of this world. You better take out a personal loan before shopping for a pet here.

Great people great company they did an amazing job on my dog they did everything from cut her hair 2 paint her nails she look beautiful when she came out and she smells so good. I recommend anybody to go there for their furry friend. My wife even said she could sleep in the bed again. LOL

Really nice store. I enjoy it here more than other pet stores. They seem to have better prices then the competition. Weve also had our Australian shepherd groomed here and would recommend that as well. ✅

Bought two dogs from here for 6,500 each and they both were sick. When I told them then they were checked out and released to me. Had to take them both to the vet the next day and one dog ended up staying for 3 weeks. Then had a big process for them to pay me back medical bills, so beware of any sick animals and make sure they check them properly. Besides that the service is fast and friendly and everything else was very good.

About three weeks ago my boyfriend and I purchased an 11 week old puppy from Petland. Ill start with the positives - the staff was friendly and pleasant. They seemed to genuinely love the dogs there (at least the 2 women we interacted with). Negatives - the puppies are WAY over priced! Like most, our puppy went home with what seemed like a small cough (it was brushed off when we asked about it in the store) - less than 12 hours after bringing our puppy home she was coughing up blood and had yellow discharge coming from her nose. A few hours later we noticed a decent amount of blood in her bowel movements. I immediately brought her to the vet who prescribed 3 different medications, but said her symptoms would likely take a month to fully clear up (she is still coughing, but not nearly as bad). The first vet we went to also suggested we keep a close eye on her ears - he suggested she may have an infection, but that the irritation could be a side effect of her coughing. Petland does offer 14 days of medical coverage, but that is beside the point, this poor little girl was really sick. Fast forward two weeks - we took her to a different vet (I do not live in the Pensacola area) and she has an ear infection - yet another medication this poor thing is on. To end on a positive note - our little girl is so loved and really enjoying her new home. Although this process has been scary at points, we are so grateful we were able to give her a safe and healthy home.

This place is amazing!!! Was visiting Pensacola, FL and went to this pet shop. They have all kinds of pets there of all varieties. From puppies, kittens, ferrets, birds, fish, hamsters, bunnies to fish. They have a huge Turtle that makes his home in the store that you can visit with walking around the store on some days. What sets this place apart is you are able to handle the pets for sale and play with them! It takes your shopping for a new pet experience to the next level! You definitely should check them out if youre in the market for a pet!

One of the few real pet shops left. They let you pick and play with the puppies till your hearts content with no pressure to buy. The price of their animals is why I gave four stars. Ex: I can buy a co*ckatiel (bird) for an average of $200 most places, while this store had theirs on sale for $399. Aside from that, its kept very clean, the pet selection is great and if youre having a bad day and need a dose of puppy love, this is your place.

I have bought 7 dogs from them in the past 3 years for my kids and mother. Went back to buy 2 more, 1 for my youngest son and my grandmother. They were making me deal on 2 dogs and I came to get the 2 one and when I drove over an hour in the rain to pick it up, they came back and said they would no longer make the deal... seriously what type of place calls and emails a person and says they would do the deal and then once we get there say sorry, we aren’t doing it anymore!Don’t buy a dog from this one, take the extra time and look somewhere else or try the one in Montgomery, they make great deals and there prices are much better!

Victoria was so nice and helpful. I felt she loved and cared about my Dog just as much as I did. I was very please with the rest of the employees that I came in contact with over the course of taking my Ava home.

Went in to get tank cleaning and a single small gold fish. Asked the person working (Derek) after he got another person their fish (he just got theirs no questions asked) for said goldfish, was immediately interrogated about what the goldfish would live in and then he proceeded to tell me he would show me a video of a goldfish//that their organs would burst if kept in too small of an aquarium and was still going on when I told him nevermind and left. WOW firstly I have raised fish my whole life and am aware they need lots of space, secondly what a very upsetting experience. Im not sure if theyre trained to berate customers, but I will definitely not be going back and am still fuming by the rudeness of the entire conversation.

I have only been here once because I live out of state, but I am definately coming back here every time I come to Florida. You get to go in and play with adorable puppies for free. I got to play with a male dachshund puppy that was SO energetic. I would recommend this to anyone visiting the pensacola area. This place is awesome!! (Also they were really clean, they sprayed down every play area really well before and after the puppies were in there. Have to appreciate that, especially with this whole virus thing going around.)

Great customer service . Had a great time with my family exploring the store. The fish department was great and the guy we talked to was a huge help. We bought a hermit crab and some food to join our other hermit crab. Prices seem a bit high for some items but overall we had a good experience.

Everything was pricey above our pay grade... couldnt apply for either card they offer due to not qualifying with 35,000 as annual income minimum. Products and puppies were overpriced. A very expensive bird that wasnt even hand tame...

We got our American Eskimo, Dolly here. She is a wonderful dog. I have always found the employees to be friendly and helpful, and I enjoy my visit each time I go. They have a large selection of dog food with pretty good deals on the brand I feed my dogs.

The staff members are always kind and courteous and remind you to wash your hands after each contact. I always enjoy going to pet stores by Petland in Pensacola is one of the best there is. Some place to take your kids and go pet some puppies or rabbits whats really nice is that you can play with the Birds too.

Nice variety of pets! I was very happy to see bunnies, which have been hard to find. Im used to seeing them in Miami for about $20 but they were $50 at petland :/ also, the bunnys nails were not trimmed or filed and cut my hand as the associate handed him to me. When I mentioned it to the associate, she said Yeah, it scratched me and Im bleeding too.

Micheal a.k.a Big Mike was a very nice guy and helped us with every question we had with no problem, he was very generous when some of the other workers were a little rude, always had a smile on his face, wonderful employee !!!

My husband and I were interested in playing with one of the neopolitan mastiffs. The lady brought the puppy to us and we started playing with her with the toys. But she was only interested in one thing...biting. She bit me on my side but I was able to get her off. Then she bit down hard on my forearm and growling. My husband had to scruff her to get her off of me. My arm was red swollen and bleeding. When my husband notified that same lady to take the dog back, he informed her that she bit me and drew blood. She handed me a dirty looking rag to stop the bleeding. Then just ignored me, didnt ask if I was okay or anything. I went to the restroom to properly clean it before it becomes infected.While walking around the rest of the store, we couldnt walk more than a few feet before another employee is walking up to us asking if we need help. And I know that if more than a couple of employees walk up and bug you with the same damn question, its what is known as Aggressive Hospitality. I work in retail, so I know what they are doing. They want me to leave.We decided to try and play with one more puppy after the bleeding stopped and was calmer. We were told by the same employee that you can only play with the puppy, if you are serious about buying one. The attitude in her voice was enough to get the hint, it was time to leave.After years of buying birds, fish, hamsters and supplies from Petland. I can definitely say you have lost another loyal customer. Good luck, trying to keep this store open with such rotten customer service.

I really enjoyed my visit to this store. It is locally owned which I like to support whenever possible. I met one of the new owners. She told me they purchased the store just last November. Perhaps the bad reviews were from the old management. Anyways, the employees are very friendly and helpful and seem happy to work there. I love the bulk clumpable cat litter that allows you to save $$$. Just bring your empty containers and fill them. They will weigh it for you and you pay far less than you do in the store. Definitely my go to place.

The staff are excellent and knowledgeable, and they have a GIANT tortoise that has freely roamed the store for many years...I think his name is Jake? Anyways, great place to buy supplies. They sell dogs and reptiles too, and their fish and coral are always fun to check out.

They carry the brand of dog food I needed, with a special program offered.

As far as pet stores in Pensacola go, Petland is one of the better ones. I am a regular, and this is where I get pretty much all of my pets food and also cat litter. I was worried when new owners took over, but honestly the selection got better. I still get many supplies from Amazon since the prices are so much cheaper. The new owners did add alot of new employees, and many of the familiar faces are gone. Now its mostly a place to go in, pick up what I need, throw some money at them and leave. The expert advice is gone now, but at least they have what I need in stock.

My visit today will probably be our last. I was the second person in the fish section, while I waited patiently for assistance to buy my wife fish to cheer her up as she has been very sick. The sales associate went on to help others that came in after me. When confronted he said he had two others ahead of me. When I advised him I was there before them, he couldnt adress why they were ahead of me. I had been waiting by this point over 20 minutes while he visited with someone, due to my handicap I couldnt wait any longer, especially if I had to wait for two more people that came in after me.

I have to visit this store at least once a month. The interaction with animals is so much fun, and the staff are super knowledgeable and helpful with any questions or concerns. Charlie the tortoise hangs out wherever he wants to, so dont be surprised if you are looking at the adorable puppies in the window and you see a huge tortoise slowly walking by your feet.

Really great customer service. We purchased this little fellow not to long ago and it has been a great addition to our family.

We like this place. Kind of high on their pets, but they are good quality animals. What is mice about this is you can get everything you need here. They even have grooming services, Training Services, and more. I think I like this place as good or better than any other store.

I love the new owners, just a few tweaks needed. Cleaning up outside on the breezeway, (mess) and ensuring the phone messages are checked daily, with an outgoing message telling store hours. Thankful there is a New Owner!

Large pet store that offers a variety of high and low priced items for all kinds of house pets. They have an excellent selection of saltwater fish, pocket pets, and birds. I dont like how they are selling puppies though. Pentland has been noted may times over the years for purchasing puppies from puppy mills, shipping them across the country, and selling them for crazy prices. Please buy your puppy from a rescue or reputable breeder. It is better for the puppies and your wallet.

I went in as a new cat owner already adopted many dogs from shelters and so was not in need of those supplies but needed cat supplies and I saw the very very very small selection for anything cat oriented and I said What do yall have a thing against cats? The man at register said We cater to dogs. Ummmm. Im sorry this is called Petland not Dogland or random animal land!?!? Very disappointed!

No customer service. There were many customers all needing help and nobody there to offer guidance. The Customer service desk right when you walk in is actually the check out cashier. There was such a long line there. They were out of the 4 things i needed and no these were not a covid issue. The manager that runs this store needs to be fired or retrained and retrain all the employees as well as start a actual check out line of more cashiers. The one good thing there was one guy at the customer service desk who had time to stop talking to another employee to tell me no we are still out and we only order that on Thursday. I felt bad for the animals.

Great place, beautiful well cared for animals, lots of staff for visiting puppies. Lower star rating based on price $$$$ One pomsky puppy was near 8,000.00 the others of different breeds were between 2,000.00 to 4,000.00. Birds were just as pricey about 2,000.00 over the average breeders cost of 1,800.00 for Macaws. Just not affordable to do anything more than visit the animals or buy supplies.

Its a decent place. But if you are going in for cat supplies try another place. This is a dogcentric love, not a pet place. There are more aisles devoted to dogs and fish than cats. Even bird supplies has more options than cats.

So I know a lot of people dont like pet stores but I got to say it is the only way we could find to get to play with the dog and get a tast of the personality. We went in on a Sunday the place was packed but our sales person took the time to let us play with several dogs that we liked. We found our new family member and she is wonderful. Not saying we do not have a few things to work out lbut for a first week she is a joy and she has some big paws to fill from our late best friend.

They are money grabbers. No dog in there is worth the $11,000. I saw one that was that. Would have came out with a Australian Shepard had the greedy place not wanted $4,000 .where do they get their pricing. Have had audios and never paid that and never will. Will never be back in that store not even for supplies. Rip of of a store. Worst place I’ve ever been in

I typed in pet adoptions through Google and petland came up. I went in to see a whole bunch of puppies all in empty cages looking sad and cold. I was SO ANGRY when I was told the cheapest puppy they had for adoption is $3000. Do your research before getting an animal here. According to the Humane Society, Petland is the largest retail supporter of puppy mills. Im driving to Alabama on Friday to adopt a puppy from a rescue. Will never give 1 penny to a petland EVER.

I went into the store to purchase some fish for my new fish tank. The employee I spoke with was extremely rude telling me that he would need a water sample of my tank before he would be willing to sell me any fish and sent me on my way. Went down the street to a professional aquatic store and got excellent service only to find out 95% of the information I was given by said employee was extremely false. I do not recommend purchasing fish here.

This place was amazing the employees were very friendly and very helpful. Our kids got to enjoy themselves on their mini field trip to the pet store. They have a very large tortoise here at this location that is a sight to see!

Please please please run as far away from this place as possible. Visited my son and went to this store for a pet for his birthday. He purchased a $3,000 2 month old “Min Pin” in July who was about 4-5lbs at the time. We were told that his mom was 6lbs and his dad was 8lbs and he would be some where in between. OMG!! t’s now October and at his check up he’s 17lbs. The vet said this is not pure breed min pin and that he has to be mixed with something. Returned to the store and spoke with the owner Peggy who said we can’t tell you how big a dog will get but the average is around 10lbs. Explained to her that this dog is extremely large to be a min pin and still has growing to do. She said well even at that weight he’s still a min pin and suggested that we file a complaint with their third party company. At this point I asked her to speak slowly because I was going to record this and she said she would no longer talk and ended the conversation. I feel like this was a bogus sale with no recourse. We are getting a dog DNA test to help prove this but just wanted to warn everyone. BE WARE!!!!

I am a Caregiver for a sweet, beautiful woman with Alzheimers. I bring her to Petland quite frequently and she comes alive!!! She responds to all the animals, especially those adorable puppies. I cant say enough good things about their staff! They All are Amazing and so very patient with her. I Love this place!!!

Jeremy was the BEST when helping me with the buying process of my puppy. He was so patient and knowledgeable. Emily was also so nice & showed my puppy much love & excitement knowing he was coming to a good home.

I give this place 4 stars ONLY because of how incredible MICHAEL is. He is such a sweet person and was extremely helpful!!! He was attentive and spent a lot of time helping me.HOWEVER! There was another worker there by the name of Alan(unsure of spelling) but he was extremely rude to Michael and caused a big scene in front of myself and other customers, yelling at Michael as he was trying to help me. I’ve never seen someone so unprofessional in my entire life. I can understand worker “quarrels” however I will never understand yelling and disrespecting someone in front of customers. Alan was EXTREMELY rude, and I left promptly after that scene without purchasing what I needed because of it.There was also another heavier set woman there who I had informed (as Michael was helping another customer) that the puppy I was playing with had gone to the bathroom in the play pen. INSTEAD OF JUST CLEANING IT UP, she proceeded to go all around the store looking for Michael so that he could clean it up. What the hell? What kind of people are you guys hiring? Michael is a gem and was very kind and sweet to me but these other two were rude and obviously did not want to do their jobs.

This business is not enforcing the mandatory mask mandate in Pensacola. Most of the employees and most of the customers I saw were not wearing masks. When I asked about why the employees were not wearing masks, the reply was that most of the employees have asthma. This supervisor also said, we are not the police. I went to to tell the store manager we were taking our business elsewhere and he was in the face of a customer talking without a face mask on. I then watched him do the same thing with several customers. Another employee told me that the owner does not believe in face masks that he wished I would report it to the health department, which I did.

This is hands down one of my favorite pet stores Ive ever been to. While more well-known places such as Petsmart will be cleaner and probably have a better selection, the hands-on experience with the animals here is unparalleled. Its important to provide interaction with animals to really grow the love for them, and Petland does a tremendous job of that.

My 9 1/2 week mini daschund is sick. I bought him on Saturday. He apparently has what appears to be kennel cough. The poor thing is miserable. He hacks and he coughs and he is just sad. I am grateful that we bought him so that he could be comfortable with us at home but I am scared. We went to the vet and it apparently has to pass. They offer refunds and such but who cares. The point is that the dog should never be in this condition in the 1st place. I love my puppy but these first couple of weeks that hes home should be exciting for him. I hate to say that I would never buy an animal from them again but that wouldnt be fair to the animal. They should, however, be shut down.

HORRIBLE STORE!!Bought a baby guinea pig and it died 6 days later with no visible symptoms. Brought her back after being told to and then was told that I have to keep her. When asked about an exchange they said that they dont do that yet the day I bought her I was told they would return her within the 7 day warranty. And this was from a manager. Horrible customer service. I reasently worked at a pet store and the standards on animals and animal care is 100% better. It took me almost demanding a return that I was told they will only give me a story credit.not only did I have to get this poor baby but she also got my current one sick. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE STORE!!!

Update: I previously posted a negative review for a customer service issue I experienced on 9/24/18. Petland contacted me the very next morning to apologize for the misunderstanding. The manager JP and the owner of this store truly went out of their way to make the situation right and we couldn’t be happier with our new puppy. Thank you very much! My family will surely return in the future.

Petland is the local pet store I would recommend to anyone. I bought my little Bengal boy here after shopping for months online looking at breeders, going to panhandle exotics and more. The employees were so kind to let me come in every day for hours to play with this kitten before he could be released by the vet to go home, they even put a sticky note with his name on the cage so people could start calling him by his name. I truly would not have gotten better service anywhere else. Plus with the health guarentee and pet package you get, I truly believe you are getting the best bang for your buck here because most breedrs dont even give you this level of service. I also come here to buy crickets for my reptiles and have never been disappointed with the quality.

Horrible experience. I sat with my children for 30 minutes waiting to speak with someone and all employees completely ignored us. Customers that arrived after us had been helped quickly and were placed in a cubicle with their puppy of choice. This is my second bad experience with the customer service here and I will be purchasing our family pup from someone who takes the time to acknowledge my presence.

Petland. I will always try and buy supplies here. Good selection and prices on saltwater supplies. However, I will never buy livestock. The last visit there was a diseased fish in almost every tank. Obviously if your in the know all the display tanks are plumbed together so all the fish were being exposed to multiple diseases. Yes I quarantine but its the principle of having sick dying fish for sale that really irks me.

Employees very helpful. Place is clean and pets look very healthy. 😊. I can find Homeo Pet Natural Choice items that I needed and couldnt find at other pet stores. Like skin and itch remedy. My dog suffers from ant bites all year because we live in a Condo Complex. We r excited about using this new product. Thank u Petland!

Great experience! Employees were very knowledgeable about the animals and products available. And my kids loved the fact that they could play with almost every animal they had for sale. We will definitely be using this store more often.

Do not buy salt water fish here! They do not carry any kind of warranty, most are sick, and will die in a matter of days! I have had fish that lived but the majority have died and even with perfect water conditions they will not do anything about it! I also purchased 40 hermits got home and found 16 empty shells! This place is a rip off! I will not spend another dollar in this store! Purchase fish online and get a 15 day warranty and better price!

This is the worst place to buy your pet or your stuff. I bought a dog from them and I asked the girls about the return policy. She said you can return it within 3 days that’s it. She didn’t mention that you still have to pay half of the price when you return it, which it was miss leading just to get into your Bucket to get your money. Worst place ever to buy your pet.

I purchased a husky from this store almost 2 years ago and was very happy with the dog, not only is she in great health but the breeder that Petland used spoke with me on the phone and gave me photos of the parents. Me and my husband just recently purchased a second husky from petland and once again the experience has been amazing. The staff is knowledgeable and always helpful. We have nothing but great things to say about the staff there and I would like to say that Lisa, Alan and Joe have went above and beyond to answer any questions I have had.

Cool store. Well staffed and employees appear to be genuine pet lovers. 2nd largest tropical fish selection in the area. Good selection of aquariums. Some of the best prices on package fish food...sole exception is the Fluval Bug Bites: Pleco formula. For some reason that food is almost twice their local competitors.

This was the first time we took Leeloo to Petland. She was a little nervous, being her first time but every single person working at that time came to greet her with love and treats. She had an amazing introduction to the world outside of home. Thank you Petland!

Such a cool pet store! Not at all a normal big chain pet store, have lots of dogs up for adoption and a tortoise walking around the store everyone was super friendly and helpful! Worth the stop just to see the puppies!

DO NOT BUY FISH OR ANYTHING AQUATIC. Petland is a hit or miss store. This one has awesome staff that are as helpful as possible. The dog staff and cashiers are very knowledgeable and helpful. The fish staff are hit or miss. Some seem to know a little and some seem to wing it and pretend they know what they are talking about. They will order dog foods that you need if they don’t have it and are good with keeping up with that kind of thing. Don’t buy fish or any of that from here. The staff will even tell you they aren’t known for living long.

Petland was pretty awesome they let my daughter play with a puppy in a secluded area and she fell in love they have a big selection of animal products and Care sheets and very good customer service all around love the place wish I had one back home

Petland just overcharged us! We took 3 parakeets in to check for toenail trims. Okay, we can let that go for $5 apiece. Only one bird needed a beak trim, but they charged us for 3! They now owe us $10. Theyll lose customers with this kind of treatment. We bring Choji every 4 to 6 weeks for a beak trim, and we almost always buy stuff while were there. If we dont go there anymore, thats a chunk of business theyll be losing. They need to get their act together and not cheat their customers!

Bought a dwarf bunny 10 days ago. I was told she was only a month old. She died this morning because she was too young to be separated from her mother and the pet store said the employee who sold her to us lied and she wasn’t that young. We weren’t informed that she couldn’t drink out of the water bottle. Luckily I put a bowl in there with her so she wouldn’t dehydrate.

I had never been here before! What an amazing wonderland of cute puppies, cudly birds and ... JACK, the huge resident tortoise! If you have kids (or have had a bad day and need a warm smile), this place doesnt disappoint. It felt like a Wonder Emporium! ❤

Its over priced.If you want a puppy find a breeder.For what you pay for one of their dogs you could buy one from a champion blood line. And still come out cheaper.Every week the dog is there the price drops.

I went to this Petland today and was really upset to see the puppies in such small wired floored cages so small that the larger pups seemed cramped. They are outrageously over priced and the place was just disgusting to me. If you want a puppy, that is full blooded breed, look for a reputable breeder that makes sure that your pet is papered, has the bloodline down and will make sure that your puppy or dog is vet checked and certified disease free... better yet go to the local animal shelter and adopt. There are so many homeless cats and dogs just waiting to be loved by you. I myself went looking for saltwater fish, and was not impressed by their stock and the prices were ridiculous!

Staff has been very helpful in guiding us to set up our very first saltwater aquarium! They also have a great selection for aquarium stuff.

We love going in there to have more hands on time with pets that we potentially want to buy. I find it difficult to have staff assist unless youre purchasing something more expensive. Each time Ive purchased a hamster or wanted to purchase one- Ive had to go search for assistance.

Spent almost 500 on a turtle there it barely lived 3mnths manger said if it was sick would of died 7 days after purchase I had turtles growing up and I know if a turtle is sick it isnt going to die within a week of getting it it takes time...the manager didnt apologize or care that our new pet died. Guess I should of listened to all the reviews about purchasing animals from here

Bought a Shih Tzu here and has been a blessing. The employees are amazing and truly know their information. The big thing is the treatment of the pets up for adoption. You can tell they are cared for and it shows when you take one home. Will be shopping here for quite a while.

Very friendly and non pushy staff. High prices for pups but it is what it is. The professional staff makes it painless.

They care more about the money than the animals! They made a deal and after came back and refused to do what they said! Don’t do business with a store like this! Money meant more to them than keeping their word and making sure the dog went to a good home!

Got my little man here way over priced but amazing people and care

Very bad customer service. My 16 year old sister was playing with a puppy in their play pen for about 30 minutes. The Petland employee never came to check on her or the puppy. The puppy bit her hard enough to draw blood she started crying. Then the puppy pees on the floor. So I grab the nearest employee to tell them. The employee opened the door grabbed the dog and scolded my sister saying, Next time dont let the dog play in pee and if you cant handle a big dog then get a smaller one next time!. So we ask to speak to a manager and it turns out this lady is the manager. So I ask her when someone at your store gets bitten this is how you respond? You cant argue with stupid though. So I told her that she was rude and we walked out. Contacting our lawyer!

Everyone is extremely nice & we just adore Jack!!!! The fish often look sick or stressed, many puppies look very sad & sometimes the kennels seem overcrowded & messy. The prices on these animals seem to be ridiculously over-priced!!

The staff have no idea what theyre talking about when it comes to the animals. My roommate and I were playing with the ferrets, and a woman who was not in uniform came over and told us to not be rough with them since they were babies. We were a bit confused, both being experienced with ferrets and the care of them. Then, not even a minute later she came over and told us the ferrets were off limits because we were apparently hurting them by having them on their back. Ferrets are predators, carnivores, and they are incredibly rough. If they wanted, they could rip your skin off with ease. Also, its incredibly easy to tell when a ferret is upset because they scream. The ferrets dooking, which means they were happy. Meanwhile, behind us directly was a Flemish giant in a cage that would be suitable for a hamster at best who was thrashing around and out of water and there was only one other bunny in their big container. How the hell are you going to act like you care about ferrets being played with when theres a bunny half the size of its cage stressed and thirsty? I could go on all day about how horribly these animals were treated, but Id recommend you read the other reviews of peoples experiences here.
